Jacque and secretary J.R. Hammond. Not cancelled. Green border, gold seal, and vignette of miners working underground. No printer listed. 7.25 x 9.75" Folds with separation, creases and some soiling. Not listed in the 1883 CO Mining Directory. This is a rare Colorado mining district. The Holy Cross Mining District was located in Eagle County. The settlements of Holy Cross City and Gold Park developed about the same time (1880), but died by 1883 (Eberhart, 1969). The main producer was the Gold Park Company.
