Lot of 2 different varieties. No. OC757, issued to Maurice Foster in 1929 for 25 shares. No. CC394, issued to Thomas J. McCormick for 100 shares in 1929. Neither cancelled. Signed by president Victor Roos and treasurer Charles O'Toole. Green or blue borders, portrait vignette of Abraham Lincoln. Printed by W.N. Perrin & Co., NY. 8 x 11" Folds, pinholes. In 1931, the Lincoln-Page Aircraft Company purchased the American Eagle Aircraft Corporation, which had begun producing airplanes in Kansas in 1925 but didn't survive through the Great Depression. This new merger also failed during the Depression. Roos founded the short lived Victor H. Roos Aircraft Company to continue to sell the American Eaglet design. Roos had invested in/managed many early aircraft companies including Cessna, the Roos-Bellanca company, the Swallow Airplane Company, the Lincoln-Page Aircraft Company, and later the Automatic Coin Machine Company.
