Evidence envelopes, slivers of ladder, and nail photos from the Lindbergh trial and cigar box nails from the Good Friday Bombings of 1936. The "Trail of the Century" the Lindbergh baby kidnapping and subsequent murder turned evidence of a ladder and it's fastening nails used to enter the upstairs nursery. There is a sliver from the ladder in an evidence envelope as well as a photo negative plate showing nails from Hauptmann's crudely made ladder.
On the subject of the bombings, which took place on Good Friday, 1936, the perpetrator of the crime, which killed three people, Michael Fugmann used old cigar boxes in which he placed the dynamite and trigger device. In this lot are some of the small nails used in the cigar box construction. There is also a brief description of the crimes enclosed.
