Lot of nine items. 1) Photograph of the gift sent from Los Angeles to New Jersey to Colonel 'Charles 'Lucky' Lindbergh on his wedding day. It is a cake! 2) A letter (probably sent to news agencies) about this gift; a 170 pound Simnel fruit cake. Did it arrive in one piece? 3-4) Two copies of a letter from New Jersey congratulating the REA for delivering the cake in perfect condition.5-9) Three personal photographs taken by G. G. Greenawalt (we presume) of the packaging. Two negatives. These may be unique. Letters are fragile and show wear. From the personal files of George Garfield Greenawalt. (George Garfield & Robert Greenawalt Railway Express and Wells Fargo Collection) State: California City: Los Angeles HWAC#: 41722 Date: 1929
