Rare. Inc. in Colorado. No. 379, issued for 1,000 shares to secretary C.E. Titus on June 13th, 1896 in Colorado Springs. Signed by the president Joseph Fitting and the secretary. Not cancelled. Green border, black print, and underground mining vignette. Pinholes, deep folds. 8.25 x 10.25" In 1896 the firm was in the process of patenting its two claims. One was on Mineral Hill and the other was on Grouse Mountain. Both were near the Lincoln Mine [Ref: White, Cripple Creek Up to Date, p. 40, 1896]. Not listed in the 1900 Cripple Creek Mining Manual. There is also a famous Little Pittsburg mine in Leadville, but we believe this stock to be for the Cripple Creek property. () Ken Prag Collection
