#A2387 for 100 shares to Wilson W. Fay & Co. in 1900. Signed by president Benj. Heath, treasurer Edward Noyes and secretary. Large tiger head vignette. Printed by Lowell & Co. of Boston. Reverse has a 2c documentary stamp. Corner folds, very light discoloration bottom border and one vertical fold. Still nice looking. The company had purchased 2 claims, 40 acres, six miles from Yreka, on the divide between two of the richest placer creeks in Northern California. A good wagon road runs from Yreka to the mouths of the tunnels. It had a five stamp mill, rock crushers, concentrator, etc. When this was written there had been 1,000' of shaft work completed. William, A, Bantz was the superintendent. The Little Tiger Mine paid dividends as early as 1899 (From company prospectus in a prior Holabird auction)
