Lot of five includes four lock companies' stock certificates from east and west coast U.S. states, issued from 1884-1927, and safety vault receipt. Certificates both canceled and uncanceled. All in very good to fine condition. Certificates include: The European Lock & Time Lock Co., Covington, Ky., No. 242, 10 shares, issued 1884, signed by President Joseph L. Hall and Secretary M.A. Dalton, vignette of farmers leaning on globe and clock; American Cork Lock Company, Chicago, Ill., No. 50, 5 shares, issued 1889, signed by President E.R. Paige and Sec. H.D. Turner; Best Universal Lock Co., State of Washington, No. 7141, 5 shares, issued 1926, signed by President Frank E. Best and Sec. W.C. Erwin, with Bonus "C" Escrow Agreement attached; The Crown Lock Company, Delaware, No. 8, 1000 shares, issued 1927, signed by President and Sec., eagle vignette. Also included is a Chamber of Commerce Safety Vault Company, Chicago, safe rent receipt, issued in 1896. No. 6410, for $5 received from Mrs. Maria B. Turck, signed by Manager, with ornate border and vignette of high rise building.
