This is a fun lot for any railroad buff out there. There are three (3) boxes (A very heavy box) chock full of assorted books, both soft and hardcover, centering around locomotives. While there are a number of books about the histories of various locomotives, there are also books that get into the design and workings of them. The real bonus of this collection is a 1948 publication by The Virginian Railway Company, showing diagrams and drawings and blueprints of a whole roster of their steam engines. There is also a booklet by the same railway company with designs and blueprint drawings of various pieces of railroad equipment, dated 1958. There are also several transporting guides for those who, like bird watchers, want to identify every engine that passes their way. While you may not own your own full scale line, these booklets could help you when designing from scratch, your own model railroad locomotives. ; Over 20 publications contained in the box. And that's just one box!!! There are two others just as full and just as interesting. This is a real bargain and is just waiting to be bid on and taken home. Please see photos for more detail and condition.
