Volume XLIII of Punch, or the London Charivari published in 1862. The London Charivari was a weekly British satire magazine established in 1841 by the wood-engraver, Henry Mayhew. This volume is especially interesting because it features several caricatures of Abraham Lincoln. Some of these caricatures also feature African Americans and Confederate generals. Because it is a satire magazine, these caricatures are meant to mock Lincoln. 11 x 8.5, good condition, this volume is rare. City: State: Date:1862
