Incorporated in Colorado. Number 31, issued for $1,000 in 1883. Signed by Herbert R. Smith and H.G. Comstock. Printed by American Bank Note Co., New York. Size 9.25 by 12.75 inches. Not cancelled. Triple vignette: Miners above and below ground, and a train in the back ground, pulling up hill, and smoking away. Operated 1882-1885. Successor was the South Park and Leadville Short Line Railroad. According to Poors Manual of Railroads (1887), the railroad's line extended from a point on the Denver, South Park & Pacific Railroad near London Junction to the London Hill mines, a distance of 7.5 miles. Built by the London, South Park, & Leadville RR Co. with support from Union Pacific.
