Lone Cabin MC, incorp in California in April, 1864, issued July 11, 1864 to T.W. Hutchinson for ten shares, cert no. 10, signed by JW Hinchman as president. Cooke & Co. printers, SF. Adhesive revenue stamp. The Pittsburgh district was originally a gold/silver mining camp about 12 miles northeast of Shasta. Lode gold mines were located in the 1850s, copper there in 1855, but the real "boom" came in 1863, when prospectors were more successful at finding lode deposits. Interestingly, Browne did not report on early Shasta County mines and prospects in 1868.Possibly unique. [ Shasta California
