Nice grouping of postcard booklets from the 1933 earthquake in Long Beach, CA. It hit a magnitude of 6.4 and occurred on March 10 at 5:54 P.M. on the Newport-Inglewood Fault. Between 115-120 were unfortunately killed and there was 40 million dollars of damage sustained. This group includes one booklet in bright goldenrod that contains a picture of the visible record of the original and shocks of the quake published by Green's Inc., Long Beach, CA.and showing the damage throughout the city. Includes a real photo pullout booklet published by Robinson Printing Co. with photos by Winstead Bros. that shows a clock showing the exact time of the quake on its cover. There are three additional foldouts showing the damage to residences and city structures in Long Beach and Compton. The orange covered Original Compton Quake Views booklet shows the catastrophic destruction that occurred in Compton. A special item of note is a large certified real aerial photo taken 66 hours after the earthquake.
