In 1898, a new “East Shaft was sunk down to 1950 ft. and eventually reached 5912 ft. in depth. (Not shown on this map, hence the dating). The Kennedy Gold Mine produced approximately $34,280,000 in gold at prices ranging from $20.67 to $35.00 and ounce from 1860 till 1942.
