Very rare! This is the only example we've handled! Issued in 1879 for 100 shares to John Wright. Signed president McDougall and secretary Mathison. Not cancelled. Black print, gold underprint. Folds, toning. Lists location on stock as Gold Hill. More specifically, it was an American Flat mine located right next to the V&T RR track (see 1878 Rose Comstock map). What makes this mining company even more unique are some of the news stories you can find about it. In May 1881, the supt. found a mysterious species of worm living in the silver vein on the 300 ft. level. Or how the walls of the mine were described as having a "thin coating of natural plating of pure silver as smooth as glass" (August 1880). Unique! Gold Hill Nevada
