Lot of 5 ephemera pieces including two picture postcards from the Pan-Pacific International Exposition. One blank, the other addressed to Edward Robbins (?) of Weedsport, New York. It also has an ad printed below the correspondence space for Whittier, California.
Staying with a fair theme, the lot also includes a ticket for the Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition that took place in Seattle in 1908.
The coupon is for adult admission and is perforated into seven sections, presumably for different attractions. There is no admission price on the face.
There is a letter in this lot written by Sir William Booker, British Council to California, certifying that A.F Sawyer can practice medicine in the city of San Francisco. It is dated 1865. It has folds, is in very good shape and has the seal of the consulate in the lower left corner.
A letter from Sawyer completes the package.
In this correspondence, Sawyer, now allowed to practice medicine, testifies that he treated James Cathcart during the month of October 1865 and found him suffering from mania due to his involvement with alcohol.
The letter has folds, but is very sharp and in very good condition.
