Obverse: Crowned female figure emerging from the ruins of buildings, and trees, city in background, radiating star above. Around, 1906 / San Francisco. Below, Louis Bottee. Reverse Marianne seated on sea wall, with rudder inscribed RF. She extends Olive branch to bald eagle holding US shield, with sun's rays above eagle. Around, AU PEUPLE AMERICAIN ETLA VILLE DE SAN FRANCISCO/ SYMPATHIE / ADMIRATION / LA REPUBLIQUE / FRANCAISE. Signed L. Bottee on the wall to the right of the rudder. Edge is marked with a cornucopia privy mark and 11 AGRENT. The doubled 1 is a result of it being double struck. The mark indicated .925 fine silver. 90mm, 9.68 troy oz. Unc.
