These are mandates and proclamations made by French King Louis XVI shortly before he was ousted as king due to the French Revolution. first, we have a a royal document printed on three pages dealing with the circulation of people and materials in France (Obviously needed during a period of semi-anarchy in the land. This was published on behalf of the National Assembly, signed in print by Danton and countersigned by two others in the Assembly . also, a royal bulletin published on behalf of the King, even though the Bastille had fallen more than a year before. Next, a decree of the National assembly calling for the maintenance of of tranquility in the city of Avignon, on behalf of the king, even though he was pretty much out of power.
