This bottle and the next lot comprise two differently spelled cobalt blue sodas from M & R (Martin Rancich) of Sacramento. He ran his soda works from at least 1850 (may have been late 1849) up through 1863. There are two different bottles here, one spelled "Sacramento" and the other "Sacrimento" The "Sacramento" bottle has the same font as the "Sac" on the Boley bottle (large C), and is probably the latter of the two. The first (Sacrimento) has Union Glass Works on the reverse (not in a slug plate) and has the "M R Sacrimento" inside a slug plate on the front. It is a deep cornflower cobalt blue. 30522 City: Sacramento State: California Date: 1850's HWAC# 30522
