This machete is marked "LEGITIMUS/COLLINS & CC/ made in USA/ no. 191" on the left side. This one saw use in the Yucatan Peninsula by the owner. These 191's were prized issues to the US Marine Corp. during WW2. Rare enough today to find supporting evidence of their issue. This one is without a scabbard, also common; and in very good condition. The hardwood grips are intact and solid. At 26 in. overall length with a 20.5 in. blade. Used but well cared for.
