According to Balch, 1882, the company began developing it's property in 1880. Their mines included the Broad River, Magnolia and the McSwain, located at Broad River Township, Hickory Grove, near Smith's Ford, S.C. Encompassed 200 acres with the vein averaging 6' wide. The property also contained the old Arrow-wood mine. Nice vignette of four miners working underground. Uncancelled.
