#136 Louisa Porvis(?) for 4 shares on January 30, 1866 in Austin, Nevada. Signed by secretary William M. Clark as secretary and Joseph Daniels as president. Incorporated in August of 1863. Mill and train vignette. Chips and small tears. This is a Nevada Territory certificate. However, the T. has been crossed out as it was actually issued during statehood. Mill vignette. Green $210,000 underprint. Agnew & Deffenbach of San Francisco printers. Small holes visible when you hold the cert up to the light. Listed as the eighth best Reese River producer (Couch & Carpenter). In 1881 still one of the seven best mines (Thompson & West). Clark was a saloon keeper in Austin in 1870 (US Census). Daniels was working for the Manhattan Mining Company in 1866 (Austin Directory).
