Maibohm, the Maibohm Wagon Co. in Racine, WI prior to 1916 was reorganized into The Maibohm Motors Co. In 1916, began producing the Maibohm automobile in 1917. Between 1917 to 1919 Maibohm Motors produced about 6,000 automobiles that sold for $300 - $500. 4 produced models used 4-cylinder engine up to 1918. Larger and more powerful 6-cylinder engine used after that time.. Production continued until Jan 1, 1919 when fire destroyed factory. After fire, moved to Sandusky, OH with 247% increase in sales.
