A very colorful die cut in the shape of a plate. This was made to be applied to the top of a keg. The rim is blue and white with the calendar months interspersed with small vignettes of ships and rural scenes. The central vignette features two European children, a boy and a girl, dressed in rural clothing and Dutch wooden clogs. The girl is holding yarn and needle. The artist is identified as Ellen H. Clapsaddle. Copyright 1904 by The International Art Pub. Co. Measures 14" in diameter. 17" x 17" frame. Ellen Clapsaddle (1863-1934) was an American artist.
