RARE [1881 version is actually easier to find]. No. 263, issued for 10 shares to JH Robeson in 1897 in Georgetown, Colorado [Philadelphia is crossed out.] Signed by president Lawrence and secretary AD Snodgrass. Not cancelled. Gorgeous certificate with black border and print, large detailed mining vignettes along the bottom as well as allegorical vignettes above. Small rip top middle, paper breaks where seal should have been, etc. . This is a common name for a Colorado mine. Not listed in Corbett or Fossett. C&L lists over a dozen Mammoth mines in Colorado. The best match we can find for this time frame is operating at Clear Creek County. They own the Bush Lode and Combs Lode on Sherman Mountain in the Griffith Mining District.
