Taylor (Treasurer of the company) has paid $500 in Gold being $20 per share on his subscription of 25 shares in the company. Signed by Secretary & treasurer Charles G. Taylor and President H. Augustus Taylor. Capitalized at $1,000,000. Has a 5 cent brown Washington Internal Revenue Stamp. Blue on white 7 ½ X 4 5/8. Very fine. 2) Statement of Ores, Quartz or Minerals Reduced for the Quarter ending June 30th 1866 from the Manhattan Mill in Austin, Nevada – Shows that 134 tons of ore from the Manhattan Silver Mining Co.’s mines were reduced yielding $10,436.48 or about $77.88 per ton of silver. 3) Manhattan Sliver Mining Co. of Nevada – Reducing (refining) charges for Ore voucher. Allen Curtis, General Agent Dated April 5, 1868. 8448 lbs. (4.22 tons) of silver ore assaying $251.34 per ton with 80 % recovery less $195.43 refining charges netted $674.48. An R2 adhesive Revenue 2¢ stamp along with a Nevada 2¢ stamp for document tax. 4) Manhattan Sliver Mining Co. of Nevada – Reducing (refining) charges for Ore voucher. Allen Curtis, General Agent Dated Oct. 19, 1869. 35237 lbs. (17.6 tons) of silver ore assaying $111.53 per ton with 82 % recovery less $616.56 refining charges netted $994.50. No stamp. 6) Checks - Manhattan Sliver Mining Co. of Nevada – Gage, Curtis & Co. – Three checks payable to Paxton & Curtis Bank with different printed revenue stamps 1) RN-D1, 2) RN- F1, 3) RN-G1. 7) Egerton, Allen & Co. – Manhattan SMC – Confidential letter dated June 16,1874 to Allen Curtis, Superintendent concerning a special shipment of 720 kegs at a special rate. The company was a vendor of Mill and Mine supplies as well as receivers of Ore, Billion & Gold Dust located in San Francisco.
