1) Shows the land north of the railroad in the Truckee Meadows area. This is an early reprint of the 1867 Peavine Mountain Copper Map. 38 x 27". Surveyed by Andrew J. Hatch. The large town in the area is Peavine - Reno is not even a thought! The map shows a railroad that will be run from the CPRR (which is not even finished yet) to the town of Peavine. Lakes such as White, Swan and Silver provided nice landmarks. Lists mines, ranches, peaks, roads, valley, etc. Very interesting! Very washed out, but most of the content is still visible. 2) 1871 reprint of a map which states that it is for land south of the Central Pacific Railroad. 30 x 23". Louis Nell was the topographer. Includes Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. Mine in districts include Clarke (not Clark as in county), Timber Mountain, Freiburg, Groom, Bull Run, Milk Springs, etc. Locations include Pinto City, Camp Halleck, Hyko(Hiko), Diamond City, Montezuma, etc. City: State: Nevada Date: HWAC# 99679
