This is an incredible collection of around 50 tokens, patches, badges, all related to the Mare Island Naval Shipyard (1854-1995) in Vallejo, California. Included are programs from various celebrations, patches from the various groups that worked at the 5,200 acre facility, from it's inception, under the command of Admiral David Farragut.

Over its history, the shipyard operation built around 89 ships and reconditioned countless others. Besides Naval personnel, there was a large workforce of civilians and I'm proud to say, my Uncle Glen was one of them.

This collection includes patches from the Navy Yard Association, The Quality Assurance Office, as well as cup tokens from the various shops from 1934, 1945 and 1947. There are medallions commemorating different events like "Family Days" and anniversaries of various construction accomplishments. There are also programs for these same events and celebrations. It's a rare and unique collection and should be a nice addition to any militaria collection. Please see photos for more detail and condition
