Mother Goose Book of Rhymes, a children's book illustrated by Margaret Evans Price, co-founder of Fisher-Price Toys. Copyright 1917 by Stecher Litho. Co., Rochester, N.Y. "No. 44" printed in bottom left corner of front cover. Softcover. 14 pp. with illustrations filling 3/4 of every page and the entire front and back covers. Light staining on cover, light foxing inside pages, spine wear with small separation near bottom, otherwise good. 7.5" x 14". Margaret Evans Price (1888 - 1973) co-founded Fisher-Price Toys in 1930 with her husband, Irving Price, and Herman Fisher. She was a children's book illustrator and artist. She became the first art director for Fisher-Price and designed push-pull toys for the opening line, based on characters from her children's books. [
