Mariners' Bethel Mission Ship Co. was a California gold rush company. Vignette on stock of ship with the name Adoniram Judson under it, who was an American Congregationalist and later Baptist missionary serving in Burma for almost forty years. At 25 became 1st Protestant missionary sent from North America to preach in Burma. He translated the Bible into Burmese and established a number of Baptist churches in Burma.
