Location of mine: Jackass Hill, Tuttletown, Tuolumne County, California (printed on letterhead). Stock certificate plus two typed letters from the company to stockholders. Letterhead and stock have a photo vignette of Mark Twain's cabin. Stock is No. 170, issued for 250 shares to the Springs on Feb. 26th, 1926. Signed by vice president Charles Ross and secretary HJ Peirsol. Not cancelled. Maroon border and seal, black print, photo vignette. Heavy folds, spindle hole, and toning. Pen writing in upper left. 9 x 11.25" According to the 1926 typed letter, the properties included the Chilano Mine and Wilson & Means. Drifting had been done on the 450 ft. level of the Chilano. Also a 1930 letter to the stockholders talks about the company ceasing operations in 1927, but lessees working the claim.
