Mechanic's Institute Industrial Exhibition silver coin awarded to Woodward's Gardens in San Francisco for "Stuffed Reserved Animals," in 1880. Has the official seal of the City and County of San Francisco on back. Approximately 1 3/4 inch diameter and 1/8 inch thick. Comes in original leather bound, satin lined case, with the inscription "Mechanic's Institute PREMIUM 1880," on top. Woodward's Gardens was a combination amusement park, museum, art gallery, zoo, and aquarium operating from 1866 to 1891 in the Mission District of San Francisco, California.
