From The Danbury Mint: a wooden case for 200 sterling silver rounds: one for each year of American history. This lot includes the case (23 x 12 x 5 inches; four drawers designed to hold fifty medals each. Included in this lot are the first ten silver rounds (1776-1785). Each medal contains 525 grains of solid sterling silver weighing 38 grams. Side rim stamped "Danbury Mint- Sterling Silver" with a pictorial event on the obverse and historical facts on the reverse. Later years from the set are being sold later in this auction. 12 ounces of silver.
