This receipt written by P.L.Parker for bullion deposited at the San Francisco Assaying and Refining Works on Jan. 7, 1867. Deposit #3874 for 27.03 oz. before smelting with a fineness of .835 valued at $425.23. A rare find, rated very fine. No foxing, fold in center, vignette left side. 12 in. X 5.5 in. (ref. The Rush for Gold, Holabird, p. 289, 2008). Also, "Tables of the Value of Gold and Silver", paperback at 13 pp. dated 1867.
