Lot of 2 passes for this railroad that operated starting in 1853 from Hopefield (now West Memphis, Arkansas) on the east to Huntersville (now North Little Rock, Arkansas) on the west. During the Civil War, Union troops took control of the railroad and used it to help keep control of Little Rock in 1863. The line was sold multiple times in the 1870s, 1880s, 1890s and eventually became part of Chicago, Rock Island, & Pacific. 1) Pass. no. 872, issued for 1882 to FP Wherry of the St. Louis & San Francisco Railway. Signed by the general manager Rudolph Fink. Black and white print with underprint design. Printed on cardstock. Very good condition. 2) Pass no. 132, issued for 1891 to J. St. Koslowsky. Signed by Rudolph Fink as president & general manager. Black print on yellow cardstock. This pass has the name reversed.
