2 articles of clothing recovered from the Ansel Easton trunk found at the S.S. Central America shipwreck. 1.) Pair of Ansel Easton's socks. No markings. overall length 13", heel to toe of unstretched 8.5", form fitting cuff, wear on the back edge of one sock. Sound material. 2.) Men's long underwear. Overall length 40", inseam 24", waist 36". Material appears sound, except for a couple tears at the waistline. Fly has a three-button closure with one button still present. Rear lace-up is intact. Form-fitting ankle area. The natural aged, water-stained patterns of the rear are similar to camouflage today!
