3 articles recovered from the Easton trunk found at the S.S. Central America shipwreck. 1.) Ornate men's necktie. This is a highly unusual tie for the Easton trunk. It has an un-matching, crisscrossed pattern, and this piece is seamless, with no stitching. It is 2 x 40 inches with some degradation at the tips. 2.) Men's shirt. Pleated upper front. Patters of small squares with crossed lines inside emanating to the outside. Possible grape color. alternating with a small "x". The cuffs are pinned with cuffs in folded position with original rusty pins. Side splits 11", overall length 32", sleeve inseam 22", collar 15".A little degradation at spots along the bottom. 3.) Mans handkerchief. 1.5:" embroidered edges. 21x22". No apparent degradation, just stained.
