3 articles recovered from the Easton trunk found at the S.S. Central America shipwreck. 1.) Men's cravat. Gold metallic threads in vertical pattern with three bar patterns about 1" apart. 1.5" x 37". Signific degradation throughout. 2.) Men's undershirt from Ansel Easton. Unusual construction, as chest opening is in the center of the right side, not down the center of the front. Gold silk covering of the button area. Three hole chest closure area. neck 13", length 28", inseam 21" including 3" form fitting cuff. generally good. A fancy undershirt., where the stain pattern resembles modern tree bark camouflage. 3.) Long underwear, light cotton pants, no button fly, rear string draw with tie, button closure at top front. Listed in the inventory as men's underwear, but possibly night pants. Each leg has a slit, or V cut at the ankle. generally good condition. waist 32" Inseam 26".
