Dress shirt recovered from the Easton Trunk found at the S.S. Central America shipwreck. Dress shirt, with vertical top pleats to stomach line, skirt-like base for long term daily tuck-in. Overall length 36", sleeve length from underarm seam to end of sleeve, 22.5", collar about 13.5". Vertical pleats with a small button at top, still present. The split for the tuck-in tail is 13". Material degrading along base and both sides, front, and rear. Curated by Ohio State University. No name was found written on this shirt in an inspection of the lower edge and bottom pleat area.
