Men's dress vest recovered from the Easton trunk found at the S.S. Central America shipwreck. Ansel Easton's vest, with fancy spotted metallic gold sheen (describer's note: this vest is fantastic, in that this bright gold is so reminiscent of the Gold Rush). A brocade- style fabric, woven with metallic fibers throughout. Five buttons in front, intact. Rear tie straps missing metal buckle. Two front pockets and a watch pocket. V notch in the back. Degradation of the cotton lining material at the collar, and under the right lapel.
