A group of three pair of men's long johns found in a house in Utah, used as insulation, along with the denim pants in this catalog. The long johns would have been used under the overalls, particularly for warmth in the winter. The three pair are different. No manufacturer's marks were found.
1. Thick, wide waste band, open V at the top tied by string (presumably a replacement of the original tie material). Open bottom legs with cloth strip ties. Lined with white cotton (?) Single button fly at center with two buttons on waste band.
2. wide waste band of different construction. Short V in the back with cloth strip tie. Two strips of fine weave material at spots where suspenders may have been put underneath from the overalls, thus holding up these long johns. Fly with no button, and only a single button on waist. Bottom of legs has expand material.
3. Two button fly, single waist button, V in back with string tie. destroyed below the knees. [] [] [] [] []
