This is brass belt plate from the Mexican-American war uniform as a reproduction. Cast brass at 2.625 in. X 2.625 in. with three mounting prongs on the back cast "GW" (Gary Williams of Hanover Foundry). The eagle is facing right with thirteen stars, "E PLURIBUS UNUM" heavily worn.
