Classic bitters-style medium amber square bottle, applied top, heavy whittle, small circular kickup in base. Not listed in Ring. This bottle could have been a bitters or a medicine. Meyer Bros. & Co. was a wholesale and retail druggist outfit in Fort Wayne, Indiana, St. Louis and Kansas City, c 1870 through at least the mid-1880s Their most prolific advertising period was 1881. Their ads clearly show they were sole agents for a lot of stuff, from Electric Bitters to Dr. Williams Pile Remedy. Undoubtedly, the Meyer boys were sole agents for the contents of this bitters-style bottle, but we'll never know what was inside without a paper label. tiny chip on one bottom edge.
