Lot of 2 different. 1) Grand Rapids Hydraulic Company $1,000 bond. No. 156, issued in 1886. Not cancelled. Signed by president M.R. Crow and secretary John E. More. Brown border, black print, Michigan state seal vignette. 57 coupons attached. This was a private water company that built a pumping station on Canal Street near Coldbrook Creek in 1886. Blue border and vignette of two allegorical women with industrial imagery in the background. Printed by Central Bank Note Co. Folds, creases, some soiling. According to the Detroit Historical Society, this company built a tunnel beneath the Detroit River connecting the cities of Detroit, Michigan, and Windsor, Ontario.
