First year of operation into Cripple Creek! No. 349, issued for 1895 to C.W. Sells (Manitou & Pikes Peak Railway Co.). Sells would eventually become president of that railroad. Signed by H. Collbran as president. Printed on yellow cardstock by Rand McNally & Co. Residue on back from being glued in an album. Front in very good condition. This line was organized in 1892 to provide service from Divide to Cripple Creek. It was the only standard gauge into Cripple Creek and Victor. While it brought passengers to the mining camps, it also took ore back to mills at Colorado City. (Prag Collection) City: Cripple Creek State: Colorado, Date: Inventory# 39428
