The issued stock is No. 139, issued for 9 shares to HA Barrows on Aug. 12, 1864 in Austin, Nevada Territory. Signed by president E.S. Davis and secretary William Parry. Pen cancelled. Green underprint. 25 cent adhesive revenue stamp on left. Printed by Enterprise Print. 3.75 x 9.25" Very fine. No record of the company in Browne or Abbe. The Reese River Reveille locates this property in the 'Sag' between Austin and Clifton. Barrows shows up in Osceola 1861. By 1863 he is the mining recorder for the Smoky Valley and contributor to the Reese River Reveille. Parry was a 'searcher of records, notary public, conveyancer and helped organize the pioneer bank in Eureka. He also attended the first Silver Party meeting. was assigned to a committee and sat with William Jennings Bryan when he spoke to the convention in California. Davis was an organizer of the Washington District as a miner, treasurer of the Pioneer Hook & Ladder Company, and county recorder.
