Mining and Scientific Press, 1902, 89 issues, 1903, 104 issues, January through December. May or may not be complete or with duplicates. All fine plus condition.
This very important publication was printed in San Francisco and was instrumental in the publication of advanced progress, ideas and theories in science. It was also the voice of the mining community, and as such the only good reporting mechanism of the day, as it contained reports from small and obscure mining districts throughout the western United States. An incredibly important reference, rarely used because the microfilm copies were done early and are poor quality. Not digitized by major services (yet).
The 1900ss were key years in metals production all over the West, from Cripple Creek to the goldfields of Nevada with Tonopah and Goldfield, Utah silver and copper deposits, and of course other Nevada, Arizona and California prospecting and ore deposits. [
