This is a collection of three commemorative coins. The first is a coin 1 1/4 in. diameter commemorating Rear Admiral Richard Byrd USN to be the first to fly over the South Pole. The coin celebrates the achievement of the Byrd Antarctic Expedition 1928-1930. One side is a likeness of Admiral Byrd and the other side is of his plane. The second coin commemorates Dayton Ohio's oldest Hotel -Newcomb's Tavern est. 1796 at 1 1/2 in. diameter and dated 1904 with a likeness of the original wood-framed structure. The last coin celebrates 25 yrs. of Bezerks-Turnfest in Washington, Missouri. dated 1887. Provenance from the J.M. Davis Arms Museum.
