These seven covers were all mailed early in their post office's life. 1) Greenfield, c1865. Manuscript date '27'. 2) Hahatonka 1905. Post office opened in 1895. 3) Foster. Post office opened in 1883. Washington two cent stamp was fist issued in1883/7. Scott #213. 4) Brookfield, Linn County. Post office opened in 1860. This Washington 3c stamp was first issued in the 1850's. 5) Early Carrolton. 6) Ewing cc of Windsor Hotel and Livery. Post office opened in 1894 and the cover is dated 1902. 7) Brunswick, Chariton County. Post office opened in 1836. Postmark serves as cancel, but seems to read 1864
