Signed by president William Roberts and the secretary. Not cancelled. Black border and print. Vignette of miners with headlamps. Printed by John A. Lowell, Boston. 6 x 10" Horizontal and vertical folds. Clean. Not listed in Corbett or Corregan & Lingane, though there are numerous Monarch mines in Colorado listed. According to the 1883 Report of the Director of the Mint, the Monarch Mining Company claims were on Monarch Mountain, and Robert J. Clark was the owner/manager. The 1884 edition has more detail: the mine was located in 1878, there is 3,000 ft. of development, and the main tunnel is in 300 ft.
