This cache of bullets represents a half a century of Military presents in Montana. The actual fort is unknown but here is a list of the clues: four rounds of .45-70 one bullet intact (for the trapdoor Springfield rifle); two rounds of .44 caliber rimfire pistol one bullet intact (Colt revolver); one .36 cal. rimfire bullet intact (for a personal sidearm); one .50-70 cal. bullet intact (for a later model trapdoor Springfield); one .303 British bullet intact (a bolt action rifle prior to 1906); and one .30-06 bullet intact (for a bolt action rifle dated Frankford Arsenal April 1908). The last item is a sewing thimble indicating a fort community where travelers (immigrants, women and children) were able to find refuge at a fort for safety. These are all metal detector finds. No sales to New York, New Jersey, California, Hawaii, and Alaska. No international sales. Additional shipping charges apply.
